Sweet 16 Predictions(Thursdays Games)-Kansas goes down, and much more predictions
The Sweet 16 is finally here and 8 teams will advance to the Elite 8. The only question is, who is it going to be? This article will answer that question. The first game of the Sweet 16 is Michigan v. Oregon and it starts Thursday at 7:09 pm. My prediction for this game is that Michigan will continue their inspiring story by beating Oregon 68-67. I think this game could go either way, and at this moment Michigan has all the momentum by beating No. 2 seeded Louisville last round. The next game on the list is West Virginia v. Gonzaga. My pick for this game is that Gonzaga will win 77-73. This game is another close one, and I think the key to the game for Gonzaga is to be able to break West Virginia’s full court press. I think if Gonzaga is able to accomplish that then they will have no problem beating West Virgina, but it is very likely that they will be able beat the press of West Virginia. Nex up on the list of games is Purder v. Kansas. This game will come down to if Purdue can stop Kansas’s Josh Jackson and Frank Mason. Another factor is if Purdue can stay out of foul trouble. Despite the game being in Kansas City I do feel like Purdue will come out on top by a score of 78-77. The last game of the Thursday slate of games is Xavier v. Arizona. I expect Xavier to stay with Arizona until the end of the second half when they will have to intentionally foul to make the score 66-72.
